PROPOSED DECISIONS OF EXECUTIVE COUNCILLORS ON MATTERS WITHIN THEIR PORTFOLIO OR OF OFFICERS ON MATTERS WITHIN THEIR RESPONSIBILITY

These decisions will be taken on or after 5th March 2005 (unless a different date is shown) and will be published in a subsequent Weekly List. The report sent to the decision maker is attached. Exempt (private) information is sent only to the decision maker. The four-character codes are cross-references to the Executive Forward Plan.

PAPER 1

E774 Mount Beacon Lodge, Bath (Cllr Vic Pritchard )

The Executive member is asked to consider whether Mount Beacon Lodge should be leased for an initial period of 3 years or whether it should now be sold on the open market.

PAPER 2

E640 Grants to Voluntary Arts Organisations (Cllr Nicole O’Flaherty)

The Executive member is asked to agree the proposed grants.

PAPER 3

E784 Supporting People Strategy (Cllrs Francine Haeberling and Vic Pritchard )

The Executive members are jointly asked to agree the strategy and the proposed spending proposals.

Note:  Because the proposed strategy is a very large document it is being made available for viewing at the Council’s public inspection points.  It may also be viewed on the Council’s website.

REVIEW FINDINGS OF OVERVIEW AND SCRUTINY PANELS BEING PASSED TO EXECUTIVE MEMBERS FOR THEIR INITIAL RESPONSE WITHIN 6 WEEKS EXPLAINING FOR EACH RECOMMENDATION WHETHER THEY ACCEPT, REJECT OR DEFER CONSIDERATION UNTIL FURTHER INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE

Executive members' responses to the proposals in these papers are requested within 6 weeks of publication of these papers.

E785 Overview and Scrutiny Review of Equestrian Access to Pedestrian and Cycle Paths (Cllr Sir Elgar Jenkins OBE)

The Executive member is asked to consider the Panel’s report and to respond to each of the Panel’s recommendations by 16th April.

Note: Sir Elgar previously indicated that he would delay making his decision until such time as he had received comments from the Overview and Scrutiny Panel.  The Panel has now presented its recommendations and Sir Elgar will respond in due course.
